We work with many organisations and idividuals who share our values. Here is who we work with
GIY is a global movement of people who grow their own food.
Our big idea? When people grow their own they gain a deeper understanding of food called ‘food empathy’ which acts as a lever to a healthier lifestyle.
There are 50,000 people involved online and in the community, supported by the GIY foundation, which runs campaigns and events to inspire and support people to grow their own.
The Exo Foundation – The Exo Foundation is apolitical, secular and not-for-profit organisation with a mission to instigate a system of travel that incorporates long-term strategies to maximise the benefits for local communities, and the preservation of their cultural and natural heritage.
Thomson Reuters Foundation – TrustLaw Connect is the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s award-winning global pro bono service that connects high-impact NGOs and social enterprises to the best law firms around the world. Their mission is to spread the practice of pro bono worldwide to drive social change.
2People1Life – Alex and Lisa are on an adventure of a lifetime as they travel around the world on a quest to find the perfect place to get married. They do this by having a wedding ceremony in every country they visit with the aim to fully embrace local culture and traditions. As supporters and friends of Sonas, we are delighted they will be coming to Cambodia in Summer 2014 to visit the communities which they have helped. Sonas look forward to celebrating a traditional Khmer wedding ceremony with Lisa and Alex along with the entrepreneurs and local communities we work with.
Paula Adams – Paula Adams, the first Sonas ambassador from Australia, was first exposed to the culture of Cambodia during a visit with her family back in July 2013. She saw the untapped opportunity to help women and adolescents though income- generation and education, so she started supporting Sonas in reaching out to more Cambodian families. We are truly grateful for her support.
Rebecca Beaton – Rebecca Beaton works with people that are sick of their current job and ready to design and unconventional (kick that 9-5 in the but!), world-chnaging career that is totally in line with their purpose. Her vision is to live in a totally peaceful and sustainable world where everyone is living a life of purpose. Rebecca is kindly donating 10% her profits to Sonas. We are delighted for Rebecca’s support and grateful to partner with someone who shares similar values to Sonas.
Social Enterprise UK – Sonas is a proud member of the Social Enterprise UK, a national body for social business and enterprise. Through its hard work and efforts in creating a fertile policy environment where social business and enterprise can thrive, UK has become widely recognised as having the most highly evolved social enterprise sector in the world.
Child and Life Association (CLA) – CLA, a non-government organisation for child rights and village development in Cambodia, believes that poverty begins with the protection of the rights of children. Investing in children is the best guarantee for achieving equitable and sustainable human development.
Bookbridge – Bookbridge is a social enterprise that establishes learning centres in rural areas of the developing countries. The learning centres bring quality training to the people in need. Sonas is proud to partner up with Bookbridge to help train people in the hard-to-reach rural communities.
